This holiday picture was spoiled by the nasty lamppost right in the middle. When I took the picture I composed the shot to show my family, the building and the garden next to it. My big mistake was to ignore the offending lamppost in the middle of the frame.
An hour in the photo editor and the lamppost is gone.
The important thing to do before deciding to edit a picture like this is to plan where you will get pixels from to hide the object you want to remove.
Tricky parts of this edit are the bush and the balustrade behind the lamppost. Also the area where the lamppost’s shadow crosses the paving stones and the railings.
